The wedding was on the 9th July 2005 at Holy Trinity Church Haddington. Reverend Bain and Canon Paiton performed the service. Our readers were John Elcock and Aurthur Currie. Steven Williams and Stephen Elcock did a fantastic job of reading the difficult opening of the liturgy and the video shows just how good they were. The organist was Nigel Pursey who delighted us with Handel's fireworks music, Widor Tocatta and a delightfully light piece for the signing of the register.

A peal of 5088 changes of Uxbridge Supprise Major was rung on the millennium Bells of St Mary's Parish Church, Hadddington, on the morning of the 9th July 2005 to celebrate the marriage of Michelle and Andrew. 

The Aston Martin DB6 whisked off the married couple to the reception at Lennoxlove house. Our evening of entertainment started with a wine reception in the sunken garden followed by a fantastic meal by Duck's caterers in the huge marquet. Our ceildih band were the Listmore ceilidh band who had an excellent caller. It was one of the best ceilidh bands we have been to (and we have been to rather a lot!) As it was such a warm day the side of the marquet was opened up and the celebration spilled out onto the gardens underneath the historic cherry tree.

At the stroke of 12 we headed off to the luxurious Balmoral hotel and then a few days later went on honeymoon to Kolumbia in Rhodes. Ten days of relaxing by the beach and pool at our excellent hotel was just what we needed.

But before then was the months of planning ....

Tues 5th July: Confirmed photographer. Got wedding licence. Finished order of service.

Thurs 30th June: Make up trial.

Mon 27th June: Confirmed cake.

Sun 26th June: Survived hen/stag night!

Sat 25th June: Hen night! Stag night!

Mon 20th June: 2 more days to sort out the seating plan - argh

Frid 17th June: Michelle's a doctor!

Thur 16th June: Exams finally over - can start doing more planning!

Thurs 2nd June: First dress fitting.

Wed 20th April: Shoes arrived :)

Sat 16th April: Bought shoes!

Sun 10th April:  Went to see the marquet up for the first time at Lennoxlove. It's beautiful!

Tues 29th March: Saw another florist about a dog. Sorted colours with the Jenners cake person. Bought make-up. Bought tiara. Tried on the most expensive shoes in the universe - so comfy.

Mon 28th March: Made even more invites.

Sun 27th March: Made more invites.

Sat 26th March:  Got Rings! Sorted out a John Lewis Gift list. Looked at more hotels. Tried on more guys clothes.

Fri 25th March:  Went to every shop on princes street looking for a bridesmaid dress - feet hurt. Bought bits to make invites.

Sat 12th March: Tried on groom and bestman outfits - wish I'd taken a camera with me ;)

Thurs 10th Feb: Discussed menu ideas with Ducks caterers.

Sat 5th February: Booked the photographer.

Sat 22nd January: Ordered our wedding cake - a special design by the two of us.

Fri 7th January: Bought the dress - it was in the 2nd shop I tried clothes on in :)
